Jennifer Margis
How God Touched My Life

Jennifer Margis is a 32-year-old wife and mother. She has lived in the same town her entire life, growing up with three brothers and one sister. Her entire family was very artistic, from singing and playing instruments, to drawing and painting, to photography. Somehow, though, Margis felt that this artistic gene had skipped her. She definitely had the desire, and tried to be artistic in many areas, but her talent never seemed to develop or show itself in the way it was apparent in her brothers and sisters.

Margis became very rebellious in her teenage years, getting into all kinds of trouble. When she was 17, she was diagnosed with massive clinical depression, had panic attacks and also developed a few phobias. She struggled with this until she was 24, when she met Jesus Christ and He delivered her and healed her from this hideous thing along with many other things! At this point in her life, she felt God started to develop those gifts that he had placed inside her. She now works at her son's school and is a Sunday school teacher, co-leader of a woman's group and is the head of the flag and dance ministry at her church.

Her real passion, however, is Photography. God has given her a love and talent for taking pictures. She loves taking pictures of all things, but really loves bugs! Some of her favorite subjects to take pictures of are the praying mantis, spiders, dragonflies and bees of every kind! She gets very excited when she sees odd ones! She thinks bugs are very comical and loves thinking of little phrases to caption her pictures with. Margis feels that bugs are the one thing that people do not take time to stop and see, or that people kill them because they don't see them as the beautiful creation God has made.

Jennifer feels privileged that God has gotten her attention and shown her that just because something is small does not mean it is insignificant. She also believes that God has placed a gift inside of every person, which they should use for His glory. He will help us develop it when we are ready and in his timing, which is what she believes happened to her, and led her to where she is today.
